BONO REGIONAL MINISTER CONCLUDES ‘ACCOUNTING TO THE PEOPLE’ TOUR IN JAMAN NORTH DISTRICT
The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, has successfully completed another segment of the “Accounting to the People” tour in the Jaman North District, aimed at promoting transparency and assessing development progress within local communities.
On the first day of the tour, held on 28th April 2026, the Minister inspected a range of ongoing development projects initiated by the District Assembly and the area’s Member of Parliament. These projects were focused on improving critical sectors such as education, healthcare, and transportation, reflecting efforts to enhance the overall quality of life for residents.
The two-day programme concluded with a well-attended community durbar at Suma Ahenkro on 29th April 2026. The event brought together traditional authorities and local residents, creating a platform for dialogue and accountability.

During the durbar, the Jaman North District Chief Executive, Hon. George Adane, presented a detailed report on his activities and achievements over the past eighteen months under the administration of John Dramani Mahama.
The programme also featured an open forum, which enabled community members to engage directly with their leaders through questions and discussions on development issues.
The Minister expressed satisfaction with the level of progress observed during the tour and commended the government’s efforts, particularly in the area of transportation. He noted that the administration’s development-focused approach continues to yield positive results and expressed optimism about sustained improvements across the district.
