BONO REGIONAL VETERINARY SERVICES DEPARTMENT UNDERTAKES PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAMMES
The Veterinary Services has the duty to disseminate information to achieve a good public health in general. In the spirit of One Health, the service has intensified its sensitization of the public on the six prioritized zoonotic diseases which include; Rabies, Anthrax, Zoonosis Tuberculosis, Avian Influenza, Trypanosomiasis and Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers (Ebola, Rift Valley Fever, Marburg, Lassa Fever).
There were series of radio talk shows educating the public on measures that should be taken to prevent one from contracting these diseases and the precautionary measures when an individual is affected.
