BONO REGIONAL MINISTER HOSTS COCOBOD DEPUTY CEO TO DISCUSS COCOA SECTOR SENSITIZATION
On 9th March 2026, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, hosted the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board (Agronomy and Quality Control), Dr. Francis Baah, together with the Bono Regional Managing Director of COCOBOD and a distinguished delegation at the Bono Regional Coordinating Council.
The meeting focused on plans to engage border officers across the region in a coordinated effort to sensitize farmers and cocoa-growing communities in Nkrankwanta and Dormaa Ahenkro on cocoa pricing and other related matters affecting the sector.
The initiative aims to ensure that farmers are well informed and protected, particularly in border areas where pricing issues and cross-border trade can affect cocoa production and marketing.
Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that the engagement would play an important role in revitalizing the cocoa sector in the region and restoring confidence among cocoa farmers and their communities.
