AGRIC DEPARTMENT COLLABORATE WITH GSS TO IMPLEMENT GHANA CORE AGRICULTURE SURVEYS

A collaboration with the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) by all Districts to implement the Ghana Core Agriculture Surveys (GCAS++) has been undertaken within the year.

After field area measurement and plot yield establishment in the minor season, harvesting was undertaken by trained field officers during the fourth quarter to determine yield estimates of crop production.

Again, to ensure that all protocols were adhered to and to accurately implement all activities by field enumerators, monitoring visits were conducted by the Regional Management Information Systems Officer to ensure the enumerators carried out their mandate efficiently and effectively.

This monitoring ensured the identification of challenges and feasible solutions suggested.
