BONO REGIONAL MINISTER CALLS FOR COLLECTIVE ACTION TO ADDRESS INDISCIPLINE IN SCHOOLS

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, has reaffirmed the Bono Region’s commitment to advancing quality education, discipline, and the holistic development of young people.

Speaking at the National Conference on Stemming the Growing Indiscipline in Schools, held at Eusbett Hotel in Sunyani on 29th July 2026, the Minister delivered the welcome address at the event, which was organized by the Ministry of Education and attended by the Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu.

Addressing participants, Hon. Akwaboa stressed that meaningful transformation in education extends beyond academic achievement. He noted that developing responsible citizens requires a strong emphasis on discipline, moral values, and personal responsibility alongside quality teaching and learning.

He also called on educators, parents, policymakers, and other stakeholders to work together in identifying practical solutions and implementing effective strategies to restore discipline in schools, strengthen moral values, and prepare a more responsible generation capable of contributing to Ghana’s future development.
