BONO REGIONAL MINISTER PARTICIPATES IN JUNE 4TH ANNIVERSARY REVOLUTIONARY LECTURE AT BANDA
As part of activities marking the 47th anniversary of the June 4th Uprising, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, participated in a revolutionary lecture held at Banda Ahenkro alongside national and regional executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), party members, and residents of the Banda community.
The event brought together traditional authorities, party supporters, students, and other stakeholders for discussions on the importance of education and the enduring legacy of former President Jerry John Rawlings.
The lecture was on the theme “Strengthening State institutions: Lessons from the June 4 1979 Uprising”.

Speakers at the lecture reflected on Rawlings’ contributions to Ghana’s political and socio-economic development and highlighted the need to preserve and share this historical knowledge with younger generations.
The discussions emphasized the role of education in promoting civic awareness and ensuring that the contributions of past national leaders remain part of the country’s collective memory.
Participants noted that understanding Ghana’s history and the impact of influential leaders is essential for fostering informed citizenship and inspiring future generations to contribute meaningfully to national development.
