TCDA DELEGATION VISITS BONO REGIONAL MINISTER TO ADVANCE TREE CROP DEVELOPMENT
On 9th March 2026, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, hosted a delegation from the Tree Crop Development Authority (TCDA) at the Bono Regional Coordinating Council.
The delegation was led by Dr. Kofi Twum Antwi, Director of Operations, and included members of the Authority’s senior management team, association leaders, as well as the 2025 Regional Best Farmer.
Discussions during the meeting focused on the enforcement of regulations under the Tree Crop Development Authority, with the aim of advancing reforms within the tree crop sector. The engagement highlighted the need for stronger regulatory frameworks to support sustainable growth and improved governance in the industry.
Particular attention was given to the regulation of cashew production, with emphasis on implementing robust practices to improve standards, strengthen value chains, and enhance the long-term sustainability of the sector.
Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa reiterated the Regional Coordinating Council’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote effective regulation and development within the agricultural sector, underscoring the importance of collaboration between government institutions, farmer associations, and industry stakeholders in building a more structured and thriving agricultural environment.
