REGIONAL MINISTER AND CHIEF DIRECTOR SIGN 2026 PERFORMANCE CONTRACT WITH MMDCEs AND MMDCDs
On 30th January 2026, the Bono Regional Coordinating Council hosted the signing of performance contracts involving Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), Municipal and District Coordinating Directors (MMDCDs), and Human Resource Managers. The exercise marked a key milestone in strengthening decentralization and local governance within the region.
Addressing the gathering, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, underscored the importance of effective collaboration between national and regional authorities, describing the performance contract signing as a significant step toward enhancing accountability and service delivery at the local level.

He explained that the performance contracts are strategic instruments designed to promote professionalism, integrity, teamwork, sound financial management, and results-oriented governance within Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies. The initiative, he noted, reinforces a strong commitment to measurable outcomes and improved governance standards.
The Regional Minister further urged local government executives and departmental heads to uphold discipline and foster effective collaboration in line with the national development vision of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, with the aim of strengthening accountability across all levels of governance.
In response, the MMDCEs, MMDCDs, and Human Resource Managers reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the President’s development agenda. They pledged to strictly adhere to established rules, procedures, and best practices to ensure effective administration and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the Bono Region.
