BONO RCC HOLDS 3RD QUARTER RPCU MEETING TO REVIEW PROGRESS AND STRENGTHEN DEVELOPMENT PLANNING

The Bono Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) convened its Third (3rd) Quarter Regional Planning Coordinating Unit (RPCU) Meeting on 19th November 2025 at the RCC Conference Room.

The meeting brought together key departmental heads and representatives to review ongoing development initiatives and chart a coordinated path for the region’s medium-term planning efforts.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Joseph Mensah, Regional Development Planning Officer, who warmly welcomed all members. He encouraged active participation and emphasized the importance of collective input in strengthening the region’s planning and coordination processes.

Members reviewed and discussed the minutes from the previous session, ensuring continuity of actions and follow-ups.

The team deliberated on the preparation of the new Medium-Term Development Plan, with a focus on:

  • Presentation of performance reviews led by Ms. Anthonia Ayamga
  • Validation of prioritized issues to guide the region’s development trajectory led by Mr. Derrick Kwaa

This session allowed stakeholders to align on strategic priorities and identify gaps requiring attention.

The RPCU reviewed and approved the 2025 Annual Capacity Support Plan, aimed at strengthening institutional capabilities across departments for improved service delivery.

The meeting also opened the floor for additional concerns and clarifications from member departments, ensuring all perspectives were captured.

The session saw participation from a wide range of institutions, including:

  • Parks and Gardens
  • Community Development
  • Department of Gender
  • Education Directorate
  • Veterinary Services
  • Department of Agriculture
  • Land Use and Spatial Planning Authority (LUSPA)
  • Budget Unit
  • Controller and Accountant-General’s Department
  • National Sports Authority

The Third Quarter RPCU Meeting underscored the RCC’s commitment to collaborative development planning. With active engagement from member departments, the region is poised to advance its medium-term goals and enhance the efficiency of its planning processes.
