BONO REGIONAL MINISTER CELEBRATES STU GRADUATES, HIGHLIGHTS GOVERNMENT SUPPORT FOR EDUCATION

On 11th July 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, participated in the 2nd session of the 17th Congregation of Sunyani Technical University (STU), his alma mater, where he once served as a lecturer.

The Minister described the occasion as a meaningful homecoming and expressed appreciation for the warm reception he received.

Hon. Akwaboa extended his heartfelt congratulations to all graduates, acknowledging the challenges they had overcome to reach this milestone.

He encouraged them to remain focused and adaptable as they step into a dynamic, competitive, and technology-driven world.

During his address, he announced the government’s allocation of GH₵499.8 million to support the No-Fees-Stress initiative, urging all first-year students to take full advantage of this intervention.

He emphasized that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to expanding access to education and empowering Ghanaian youth.

The Minister also advised graduates to leverage their technical and entrepreneurial training to drive innovation and create employment opportunities.

He expressed confidence in the potential of STU graduates to make meaningful contributions to the Bono Region and the nation at large.
