STRENGTHENING BORDER SECURITY – BONO REGIONAL MINISTER HOSTS GHANA BOUNDARY COMMISSION

On 24th March 2026, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, hosted a courtesy visit from the Ghana Boundary Commission, led by its Commissioner-General, Major General Anthony Ntem.

The visit formed part of the Commission’s mission to conduct operational assessments along the international boundary between Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, with a specific focus on the Dormaa Central and Jaman South Municipalities.

The engagement also addressed pressing human security concerns within border communities.

During the visit, the Commission acknowledged the Minister’s commitment and dedication to the development and upliftment of the Bono Region.

In response, Hon. Addae Akwaboa expressed appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to working collaboratively with the Commission to enhance security and promote cohesion within the region and the nation at large.
