REGIONAL MINISTER, SUNYANI WEST MP LEAD SOD-CUTTING FOR CHIRAA ASTRO TURF RECONSTRUCTION

On 23rd February 2026, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, joined the Member of Parliament for Sunyani West, Hon. Millicent Yeboah Amankwah, and other dignitaries to cut the sod for the reconstruction of the Chiraa Astro Turf.

The project was described as a significant milestone for the people of Chiraa and the Bono Region at large. The reconstructed Astro Turf is expected to provide a modern, world-class facility for sports and recreational activities, creating opportunities for youth development and promoting healthy lifestyles within the community.

The Regional Minister commended Hon. Millicent Yeboah Amankwah for her dedication and efforts in facilitating the project, noting that her commitment to development continues to yield tangible benefits for Sunyani West.

He also acknowledged the role of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and other key stakeholders whose collaboration and support have made the initiative possible.

The sod-cutting ceremony underscored a shared commitment among regional and parliamentary leadership to advancing infrastructure development and improving the quality of life for residents across the Bono Region.
