BONO REGIONAL MINISTER PARTICIPATES IN 32ND ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF EDUCATION DIRECTORS

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, participated in the 32nd Annual National Conference of Directors of Education, held at the University of Energy and Natural Resources’ Bank of Ghana Auditorium in Sunyani on 21st October 2025.

The event brought together key stakeholders in the education sector, including the Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu; the Board Chairman of Bui Power Authority, H.E. Kwadwo Nyame Marfo; the Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Lawyer Eric Adjei; traditional authorities; directors of education; and other invited dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Akwaboa underscored the importance of discipline in schools, describing it as the foundation of effective teaching, learning, and leadership.

He noted that the conference theme — “The Role of Stakeholders in Resetting Attitude Towards Positive Discipline at the Pre-Tertiary Education Level”, was timely and aligned with the government’s broader vision for educational transformation.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to prioritizing education under the Reset Agenda through continued investment in infrastructure and initiatives that promote access to quality teaching and learning at all levels.

The Regional Minister also extended a warm welcome to all participants and assured them of the full support of the Bono Regional Coordinating Council throughout the conference. He emphasized the crucial role directors of education play in driving progress and pledged continued collaboration to strengthen the education sector in the region.
