BONO REGIONAL MINISTER ATTENDS GRA DOMESTIC TAX DIVISION RETREAT AT SUNYANI

On 18th February 2026, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, attended the opening session of the three-day retreat of the Domestic Tax Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) at Eusbette Hotel in Sunyani.

The event brought together the Commissioner-General, Mr. Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, other Commissioners of the Authority, the Municipal Chief Executive for Sunyani East Municipal, Hon. Vincent Antwi Agyei, and the Omanhene of the Sunyani Traditional Area, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II, among other distinguished guests.

In his remarks, the Minister warmly welcomed participants and expressed his best wishes for a productive and peaceful retreat. He commended the Domestic Tax Division for its dedication and tireless efforts in mobilizing revenue for government, recognizing the critical role the Division plays in driving national development.

He further encouraged citizens to fulfill their tax obligations and emphasized the importance of requesting VAT invoices for all purchases. According to him, this practice would strengthen revenue collection efforts while promoting transparency and accountability in the nation’s financial systems.

The retreat served as an opportunity for reflection, strategy, and renewed commitment to improving domestic revenue mobilization.
