BONO REGIONAL MINISTER ADVOCATES EDUCATION AS CATALYST FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT

On 4th July 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, joined the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, and other key stakeholders at the Peace, Development and Education Forum held at Sunyani Technical University.

The forum emphasized the crucial interconnection between peace, education, and development. The event served as a reminder that sustaining peace must extend beyond such gatherings and take root in homes, workplaces, and communities.

Hon. Akwaboa noted that harnessing the transformative power of education is essential to fostering peace, driving socio-economic growth, and achieving prosperity for all.

Hon. Akwaboa also highlighted that enduring peace in the region is vital to unlocking the full benefits of development initiatives under the government of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

He reiterated the commitment of the Bono Regional Security Council to safeguarding the region’s hard-won peace and working proactively to neutralize any threats to its stability.

He also commended the Member of Parliament for Sunyani East Constituency, Hon. Seid Mubarak, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Antwi Agyei Vincent, for their leadership in organizing the forum.

He encouraged continued collaboration to build a future where peace, education, and development converge to uplift the Bono Region and offer hope to future generations.
