BONO MINISTER JOINS CATHOLIC FAITHFUL FOR ASSUMPTION CELEBRATION AT AMANFOSO-NSOATRE

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, on 15th August 2026 joined Catholic faithful at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary celebration held at the Mary, Queen of Peace Grotto at Amanfoso–Nsoatre.

The celebration was held under the theme, “The Year of the Youth: Youthfully Empowered,” and brought together religious leaders, government officials, youth representatives and members of the Catholic community.

Hon. Akwaboa attended the gathering alongside the Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Hon. Eric Adjei; the Municipal Chief Executive for Sunyani East, Hon. Vincent Antwi Adjei; and the Bono Regional Director for Youth Employment, Mr. Corpson.

The event highlighted the vital role of young people in building a peaceful, prosperous and values-driven society. It also underscored the importance of creating opportunities for young people through education, entrepreneurship, skills development and employment.

The Regional Minister reaffirmed the commitment of leadership to supporting initiatives that empower the youth and equip them to contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities and the nation.

The celebration also provided an opportunity for participants to reflect on the need for unity, faith and collective responsibility in building a brighter and more sustainable future for the next generation.
