The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, together with the management of the Bono Regional Coordinating Council (BRCC), continued the “Accounting to the People” Tour in the Wenchi Municipal Assembly on July 30, 2026, with inspections of several ongoing development projects aimed at improving healthcare delivery and educational infrastructure across the municipality.

The first project visited was the Asampu Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound, where the Minister and the delegation assessed the progress of construction. The inspection focused on ensuring that the facility is completed on schedule and to the required standards to improve access to quality primary healthcare services for residents.

The team also inspected the construction of a six-unit classroom block at Asampu. The project is expected to provide a modern and conducive learning environment for pupils while supporting efforts to improve educational outcomes in the community.

The tour continued to Kanaase No. 1, where the delegation visited the site of an ongoing three-unit classroom block. The inspection formed part of the Regional Coordinating Council’s efforts to closely monitor project implementation, promote value for public resources, and accelerate the expansion of quality educational infrastructure across the Bono Region.

The “Accounting to the People” Tour is an accountability initiative designed to promote transparency, strengthen oversight of public projects, and engage directly with communities.

Through regular inspections and stakeholder engagement, the Regional Coordinating Council seeks to ensure that development projects are executed efficiently and deliver meaningful benefits to residents while advancing sustainable development across the Bono Region.
